Who needs this
Anyone whose job can reasonably involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials: EMS and first responders, dental and medical office staff, tattoo and piercing artists, dialysis and home-health workers, workplace first-aid responders, custodial and laundry staff.
What OSHA requires
Training at initial assignment and at least once every year after, covering the elements listed in 1910.1030(g)(2)(vii). This course covers all of them. Your employer adds the site-specific pieces: your exposure control plan, your equipment, who to call.
Will my employer accept it
The standard sets no accreditation requirement for bloodborne pathogens training; the employer decides. Your certificate lists the standard, the date, the issuer, and a verification number your employer can check on this site. If a specific employer or licensing board requires a particular provider, check with them before buying.
